Hi, I'm ann

Ashley had a couple of headshots. That was it.

For a woman who walks into strangers’ homes and makes them feel like something entirely new, her online presence didn’t tell any of that story. No images of her in the spaces she transforms. No sense of the warmth, the calm confidence, or the trained eye she brings to every room.

When she reached out about a Signature Branding Session, what she was really asking for was this: help me show people what I actually do.

And although Ashley wouldn’t say this herself, she also has the kind of personality that you both want to be best friends with and you want to put in charge of everything. She is organized (duh!), thoughtful, detailed, but also kind, patient, fun, playful and stylish. I wanted all of this to come through in her photos.

Home Stager & Organizer Brand Photography: Ashley Rapp, Hello Staging & Organizing

We shot at the home of one of Ashley’s own clients, which turned out to be one of the most meaningful decisions we could have made. The house is modern, open, and full of natural light featuring warm wood tones, rich colors and texture everywhere. Exactly the kind of space Ashley is known for creating, or helping her clients finally see clearly again.

Walking in, I understood immediately why she chose this place. The light alone told the whole story.

Four Looks, One Brand

Ashley came prepared. After a relaxing morning doing hair and makeup at her own home, we built four distinct looks, each one intentional, each one pulling from the same palette she works with in her business: warm neutrals, soft creams, punches of color.

The branded long-sleeve shirt with jeans came first, which is exactly the kind of real-life uniform image that clients love to see. Next, a cream sweater and a striped button-down. Every outfit grounded in her palette, none of them trying too hard.

Then the red dress. That’s the signature shot look, and she wore it like she’d been planning it for months. Bold, clean, exactly what you’d expect from someone who understands how color tells a story.

We moved through the home room by room, using the architecture and light as a backdrop rather than a distraction. We featured styled bookshelves, organized drawers, a dream of a closet, a pink library. We wanted to tell the story of what Ashley creates – organization, space to breathe, a touch of beauty in the most unlikely of places. Finally, we shot the kitchen, which we saved for last after a minor plumbing situation that morning. (Anyone who has ever coordinated a shoot at a client’s home knows: you build in that buffer for a reason.)

The Goal Was Always Story

We also captured video alongside the still photography, building out a brand video for her website in the same session. When you’re asking someone to invite you into their home, having video that shows your process and your personality before they ever pick up the phone makes the yes that much easier.

What Ashley Has Now

Ashley has a full creative suite. Photos that show who she is and what she does. Looks for every platform, every context. Images she can use on her website, her Instagram, her Google Business Profile, her inquiry emails. A brand video that welcomes new clients to her website and clips she can use for social media.

No more relying on a couple of headshots to carry the whole story.

Ashley worked with the talented website designer Sydney LoPrimo of OliveWing Designs to craft her absolutely beautiful website design. Sydney, Ashley and I worked together from the beginning of the planning process to plan the images, colors, and stories they would need for the website so that the final design would work with Ashley’s style while also telling her story. You can see the beautiful result at Ashley’s website Hello! Staging and Organizing

If you’re a home professional, an organizer, a stager, or any kind of service-based business owner who works in other people’s spaces, your brand photos should show that. Not just who you are. Where you belong.

Hello! Staging & Organizing serves the Chicago area. You can find her work at hellostagingorganizing.com.
