I had originally imagined this post as a combination of photos and video, but I am so excited about this video that I think it deserves a place of its own.  Kamran shot and edited a short film to give you the essence of this fantastic night.

On Sunday evening Kamran and I had the honor of  documenting a wonderful performance by Eddie Palmieri and the Brian Lynch Quartet at the Mayne Stage in Chicago.  Palmieri is simply a legend in Latin jazz, and has been one of my idols for a very long time.  The show also featured Dafnis Prieto on drums, a recent MacArthur Genius Award winner.  The excellent show was presented by Sound Culture Chicago, who has been enriching Chicago’s cultural scene with an excellent lineup of musicians from around the world.

So turn up the volume, and enjoy!
