When Laura approached me about photographing their wedding and engagement session, I was shocked.  Laura and Mike are the fabulous photographers behind Laura and Mike Photography.  We met Laura and Mike this spring and clicked right away.  Over the last few months we have really treasured getting to know them.  As another couple running a wedding photography business, being able to talk and learn from each other has been invaluable.  Laura is pretty much the sweetest person you will ever meet.  Bubbly, fun, kind, smart – she’s the kind of woman I and most of us aspire to be.  Mike is a little bit quieter, but with kind, smiling, eyes that say everything that needs to be said.

But you see, when we met Laura and Mike, I already knew who they were.  I had been following their work for a long time – since we started heading down this path, really – and I tried to play it cool even though I felt a little bit like I was meeting a celebrity.   So when Laura approached me about shooting their wedding, I just about fell out of my chair.  And can we talk about butterflies?  Oy.  But anyway, I shouldn’t be nervous because Laura and Mike are just about the sweetest couple we could ever work with.  I mean really, when you meet a couple like this, you want to do everything possible just to make them smile.  Because they deserve it.
