We couldn’t escape it – the forecast called for rain, and for once, the weatherman was right. After weighing a few options, we decided to meet at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. I was hoping that the rain would hold off for a couple hours, but as we watched the rain fall on the pond, I suggested that we visit the butterfly house. It was one of those serendipitous moments, because little did I know that Katie had dragged John to visit most of the butterfly houses in the Chicago area. And let me tell you, those butterflies loved Katie, too. We almost couldn’t leave because it felt like they were begging her to stay.
I have to say, it is nearly impossible not to love Katie and John. Even on a day when rain threatened our plans, Katie laughs and smiles, and makes everything ok through the sheer charm of her personality. Being around Katie and John is just sheer happiness, and it’s hard to imagine a luckier couple. We absolutely cannot wait for the wedding!
Oh, and the rain did eventually let up for a few minutes so that we could get a few shots of that beautiful fall color. See – lucky.
Show Katie and John some love in the comments, folks!
