Meta and Nathan: A Love Story

FILED IN: Weddings

In her toast, Meta’s sister revealed a shocking secret to the new groom. Their mother had, in fact, picked him out for her daughter when they were classmates in high school together.

Like every good romance, though, their great love did not start out so easily. For a long time they were just friends. Life went on. They fell out of touch. He became an athlete as well as a nursing student. She became a talented soccer player with a bright, easy smile. I think the charms of her smile were not lost on Nathan when they finally met up again. This time he didn’t let her get away.

Kamran and I had a wonderful time with Meta and Nathan in Milwaukee.  Their families were so welcoming and Meta and Nathan were so fun and easy going that we felt like we had known them forever.

I love this moment before the ceremony between Meta, her sister, her mother, and her grandmother.  What gorgeous women.  Meta, you have some good genes.

Kamran captured this image from behind as Meta’s father, John, walked her down the isle.

I snuck up to the balcony to get a super wide shot with my fisheye lens.

Just look at the expression on Mom’s face as she greets her new son for the first time:

I saw this door and just prayed I could grab Meta for a few moments before she left.  Luckily for me, Meta was soo nice and patient with our ideas all day:

As the girls helped Meta get ready for her photo shoot, Kamran pulled the guys aside for some group shots.  What a bunch of handsome young men:

The girls were just as pretty as the guys were handsome, if I do say so myself:

I think Meta and her new sisters are going to get along just fine:

We had originally planned to do their wedding shoot at the Milwaukee Art Museum, but we were surprised to find a giant festival had taken over the Art Museum grounds.  No problem, we made good use of the romantically foggy day and the Milwaukee cityscape.  I think Meta and Nathan were all too happy to spend an hour gazing into each others eyes:

We did manage to convince festival security to let us sneak onto the grounds for a few quick MAM photos:

We also made use of the beautiful windows around Pier Wisconsin.  Like I said, I don’t think Meta and Nathan minded:

On to the reception!  At the beautiful Pier Wisconsin overlooking Lake Michigan, Meta’s sister gives Nathan the look:

The beautiful room created a lovely backdrop for their first dance photos:

Congratulations, Meta and Nathan!
