Last weekend I had a long-anticipated opportunity to participate in Don Giannatti’s two-day Lighting Essentials workshop.  This was no lame sit in a chair and take notes workshop.  For two days a small group of obsessed photogs got to work with Don and some very patient models as we set up numerous lighting configurations and shot away.  We got to play with different tools and setups to create beautiful, unique, effects, out of the most mundane of surroundings.  Would you believe that these first shots are in a small hotel conference room and an otherwise ugly soccer field??
