We got lucky last weekend that since we were going to Green Lake to shoot Ellen and Paul’s wedding, we would get a chance to visit with my family as well. It just so happened that my mom finally retired from her long nursing career on Monday, so we were able to stick around and celebrate her last day on the job.
I just wanted to say that I have always been so proud of my mom. Growing up, I always thought that I had a mom who was smart. When I was young, she worked in the Peds ICU at a hospital in Madison. This meant not only long and bad hours, but also the extremely emotional difficult task of working with very sick children. My mom has a huge heart, and she has used it to care for children and families for 30 years.
So Mom, congratulations on your retirement! You earned it! I can only hope that I make half as much of a difference in people’s lives as you have.
love,
Anna-Banana
Aw! Congratulations to your mom 😀
Time with our mothers is so precious.
OH THANK YOU Ann that was so thoughtful and beautiful! I appreciate it! I think you guys have already surpassed my career!
Love You Mom!
I like the picture in black & white too 🙂
What a beautiful picture of both of you! And I have always thought of Sue as a very accomplished woman that I admire. Your love spills over on all of us!
Congrats to your mom! So sweet.
Thanks Francine we go way back right? The feeling is mutual. I was thinking of you and we have to get together now. [I’ll be a fishing widow after 10/6/12].
