It was burning a hole in his pocket.  That ring.   On the El, in the park, he worried.  What if he lost it?  What if something happened to it?  And now he just wanted to give it to her.  To ask her.  But it seemed like something kept getting in the way.

Eventually, he asked.  And she said yes.

He never stood a chance, really.  Smart, beautiful, fun – Nika just has to look at you with those eyes and you’re a goner.  But really, Nika didn’t have much of a chance, either.  I mean, who could resist a handsome guy with kind eyes?  Yeah, these two are pretty much made for each other.

We met up with Nika and Brett in Lincoln Park, where Brett proposed on a winter evening.  We have been utterly charmed by these two since we first met them, and are eagerly awaiting their wedding this September.  And really, who wouldn’t be?  Charmed, absolutely.  🙂
