Working with your spouse isn’t always easy.  We’re together all the time.  I mean, ALL the time.  The little things you do that were once endearing, now drive you bonkers.  We talk about our business constantly, whether it’s 9am or 1am, whether we’re in front of our computers or on the beach.  We have a lot riding on this little endeavor, and sometimes the stress of that spills over onto everything else.

We balance each other out, though.  Kamran pushes me to do things I think I can’t do.  He keeps me on track on a daily basis, and pushes me to aim higher and do better in life.  But I make him step back, get away, so that we can see our work with fresh, creative, eyes.  Around our house, I am the finder.  Kamran will think of something he needs, but I am the one who can locate it.  Kamran is the dreamer, who can imagine a place to go that I have trouble seeing.  But I am the planner who can see all the steps that will get us there.

Last night was Kamran’s birthday, and we managed to celebrate in high style.  You can tell that the first image is mine, and the second is Kamran’s.  Different, but complementary, if I say so myself. 😛
