She had a smile as wide as the ocean. From the moment we walked in, until they waved goodbye under a canopy of sparklers, she radiated joy. It would start at the edges of her lips, into her eyes, until she couldn’t hold back from jumping and laughing and dancing. And why not? It was the happiest of days.
Emily’s sweetness is such that from the moment you meet her, you want to do everything in your power to make that smile come out. I could see it in Dave’s eyes, that feeling that there is nothing more important than Emily’s smile.
We were so delighted to get to know Emily, Dave, and their families. From the moment I first met Emily I just adored her, and her enthusiasm was completely contagious. We were so happy we got to spend a couple hours with Emily and Dave before their ceremony so that we could visit a couple of locations for their portraits, including Lake Michigan and their reception site, the historic Dawes House. We love shooting in historic mansions, and as this one is actually a museum, there was an abundance of charm and character! And you know Emily really stole my heart when she and Dave busted out a fierce bachata for their first dance. These two are HOT.
Emily and Dave, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day! I hope you are enjoying a fabulous honeymoon. Enjoy!
