Sometimes, what you are looking for is right before your eyes.

Have you ever had that experience of discovering someplace or something new that was right in front of you for years, but you just never noticed it?  And then one day, BAM, there it is, like magic. A whole new world of possibilities opens up.

Chicago is a great city for exploring – there are so many stories and hidden gems layered in the rich history and infrastructure around us.  We love to use our cameras as instruments to help us see things we’ve never noticed before.

For some reason, the world looks different through your viewfinder.

Recently Kamran and I had the pleasure of exploring one of Chicago’s visual urban gems for a photoshoot with Keewa, a local actress.  We felt like adventurers as we looked for the kinds of scenes that you drive past every day but don’t see until you really start looking.

This abandoned track is right in the city, but the darkness of the tunnel, the red light at the end, made us feel like we were Indiana Jones.  Well, Keewa is way hotter than Indiana Jones, but Kamran and I were ready to battle the bad guys.
