A couple months ago Kamran and I escaped the Chicago winter to attend a cinematography conference in New Orleans. Neither of us had ever been there, and we were excited for any excuse to visit this beautiful city! The conference was fantastic, and we learned so much, but we were also so inspired by the city itself. (I mean, who doesn’t fall in love with New Orleans??) We spent days exploring this photographer’s paradise, just soaking up the colors, textures, and character of this true gem.
We were lucky to meet up with a couple beautiful young women for 2 photoshoots around the French Quarter, one during the day and one at night. We were so glad we did this, as photography is one of our favorite ways of experiencing a place. We thought we’d share a few of our favorite photos from the two shoots here.
I have to give a quick shout-out to Mai and Ashley for shooting with us, and to Rent the Runway for the beautiful dresses. I also have to say a huge THANK YOU to the beautiful Hotel St. Marie, who were so kind and gracious to let us use one of their balconies for a few shots. Hotel St. Marie is an absolutely gorgeous hotel with perfect balconies and a lovely courtyard, and an absolutely wonderful staff. I can tell you that the next time we are in New Orleans, we will definitely be staying there!
