I am looking through our wedding photos, and I can’t help but notice how ridiculously happy we were that day.  Just grinning from ear to ear, all day.

And I remember that feeling, because it seemed like a million miracles had  come together to make that day happen.  From the extraordinary journey Kamran’s family went through to be with us, to being able to plan and execute a wedding in a very short amount of time in what felt like the perfect venue on the perfect day, we just felt lucky.

And then there are days like that one, recently, where I had to go to the ER before a wedding and I just didn’t have to worry, because I knew he had my back.  There aren’t many people who encourage you to follow your dreams and live your best life, and are truly there to support you when things don’t go as expected.  There are not many men whom I would trust to send to a wedding to shoot getting ready photos while I got myself stitched up and back into action, but I’m lucky to have married one of them.  On days like this, I feel truly humble.

And so Happy Anniversary to my dear Kamran, I couldn’t imagine a day without you. ♥
