Standing at the entrance of the Drake Hotel, Carrie was a little nervous. She could feel a slight chill as the door opened on the October day, and she stepped a little farther inside. Waiting.
Ben stood outside, under trees just starting to turn yellow. Ready for the day to start, for her to arrive, for the rest of their lives to begin. Just Ready.
And, just like that, their wedding day began. Carrie stepped out to find Ben, fix his tie, fuss with his boutonniere and just smile. Now that they were together, everything was ok.
Carrie and Ben’s wedding was a day full of loveliness from beginning to end. From getting ready at the dreamy Drake Hotel, a first look along Michigan Avenue, the ceremony at Fourth Presbyterian Church and the reception at Maxim’s, it was a dream Chicago wedding. But really, it was the little touches – from the hand-made beaded pouch for Carrie’s bouquet by Ben’s mom, to the touching card Ben left for Carrie – that helped make the day personal and emotional. Carrie and Ben are simply the embodiment of class, and we could not have been happier to have been a part of their day. Congratulations, you two!
