There must be something about this place.  This little bar on Addison, with globes on the walls and painted tiles on the ceiling – Guthrie’s Tavern –  is the place where couples go to fall in love over a local draft and a game of checkers.

For Carrie and Ben, it was Connect 4.  They stole glances at each other over the red, black, and yellow game, smiling.  It was going well.

And now here we are, just a few short years later.  That first date went well, indeed, and we recently returned to celebrate new beginnings as we get ready for Carrie and Ben’s wedding this October.  We started off at the Tavern, where they had their first date, and ended up in Lincoln Square – their new home.
