One of the cool things about being a part of so many weddings is that we get to see creative new traditions. I love it when our couples are inspired to find new ways to make their wedding meaningful to them.
In October, Ann Marie and Brandon did something that I had never heard about, but absolutely loved. They placed a bottle of wine and two glasses inside a wooden box and locked it. The box is meant to be opened either when they have their first fight as a married couple, or on their 10th anniversary. Whichever comes first.
Now, I know that some of us married couples might need a few boxes because we might have more than one fight in our first 10 years of marriage. I loved the thoughtfulness of acknowledging and committing to resolve the inevitable conflicts that come in marriage from the very beginning.
Maybe we should build a wine cellar and call it our “conflict resolution center.” Ha!

This is a really nice idea. I love seeing new ideas and traditions too. Great photo, Ann.
