Kamran and I recently had the pleasure of photographing Erin and Andy’s wedding day in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  Although Erin lives in Colorado, I have been falling for her over facebook for most of the past year.  You see, Erin and Andy are the kind of couple who do the things that most of us dream of doing, living their lives with a sense of fun, adventure, and dignity.

Erin is a one-of-a-kind girl.  She and Andy love snowboarding, and even has photos of his proposal on the top of a jagged snow-covered mountain.  (I think this is incredible, b/c skiing and snowboarding TERRIFY me.)  When she’s not racing down mountainsides, Erin stays busy defending our country as a member of the US Army.  I could go on and on, but you can already tell that Erin has my deep respect and admiration.

As Erin is such a rockstar, you know that her wedding would be nothing less than unique and super-fun.  Oh yes, Erin is the kind of girl who can pull off wearing a purple dress while her bridesmaids wore white, is determined to take photos outdoors even though it is the coldest day of winter, and who would pull out acrobatic cheerleading stunts during her reception.  Oh yes, this was one wedding that left Kamran and I saying, “WOW!”

Andy’s grandfather opened this iconic boat rental business on the shore of Lake Geneva, so we just HAD to get a group photo by it!

Ok, this was awesome.  They had a snowboard covered in copper and an engraving machine for guests to leave a note:

Yep.  Andy IS unbuttoning his shirt.  That is all I am going to say.

Yes, Erin RULES.

Congratulations, Erin and Andy!  Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day.  Maybe next time we see you it will be on the slopes…. 😛
