We had so much fun shooting Heather and Michael’s engagement session in June, that we were super excited for their August wedding.  They are just such a nice couple who so obviously adore one another, that it is just a joy to be around them.

Heather and Michael planned a beautiful outdoor wedding in Waunakee, WI, that drew on the beauty of the natural setting and included lots of meaningful, personal touches.  Heather’s necklace, for example, was custom-designed:

Michael and Heather complement each other perfectly.  While Heather was calm and serene, Michael betrayed a nervous excitement.

We kept capturing Michael stealing glances at Heather.  And who wouldn’t? She’s gorgeous!

I love it when outdoor weddings are set in the shade yet, where we can get some back light through the trees.  Look at that beautiful light:

This look just says it all.

I just loved the light as they walked back down the aisle, but mostly I loved the way they kept looking at each other.

After the family photos we had a few minutes for some shots of Heather and Michael alone.  They were perfectly ready to ignore us and enjoy their first moments as husband and wife.
